At Aussie Books for Zim we collect new and gently used books, stationery and library furnishings and ship them to Zimbabwe to set up libraries in rural disadvantaged communities, empowering children with knowledge and confidence.

Schools identify what they need. Global Champions mobilise books and shipping support. Aussie Books for Zim brings people, logistics and local capability together so communities can own and sustain their libraries.

Founded by Dr Alfred Chidembo after seeing how many books were discarded annually in Australia. More than five million books end up in landfill each year. We turn that waste into community-owned libraries.
